I’m finding that United has been offering some great deals for redemptions in Polaris® lately.

United Airlines 757-200 Business Class Review (EWR-ORD) After landing from San Francisco, I had a bit of time before my next flight boarded and retreated to the Polaris Lounge, where I enjoyed an Aperol spritz and a cappuccino (with apologies to my Italian readers for having a cappuccino at 17:45).

I flew on a United Airlines internationally-configured 777-200ER from San Francisco to Newark in Polaris Business Class, my first time flying on a premium transcontinental flight on United Airlines since the carrier rebranded some of its domestic routes as Polaris.

United Airlines just introduced the Polaris Studio — its fanciest cabin experience yet.

The food on this flight was great and we liked the Delta One® suites on this Airbus A330-900neo.

I had a very pleasant flight on a Delta A350-900 in “Delta One” business class from Los Angeles to Atlanta, a flight that felt like an longhaul international journey in many ways despite its short duration.

To kick off the trip, we flew from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) on one of American’s new Boeing 787-9 aircraft that are equipped with the airline’s newest Flagship Suites®.

The verdict: the Flagship Suite is a nice seat, but with a few notable flaws, and the consistently inconsistent service that plagues AA these days.

This trip involves two long-haul flights with Lufthansa Group: Lufthansa Allegris on the A350 for the first segment and Austrian Airlines Boeing 767 in business class for the last segment.
