Pick the points you have and the program you’re thinking of moving them to. You’ll see the ratio and its source, any transfer bonus running today, what your points become, and, with an award’s price, what each point gets you either way.
How it’s worked out
Facts, with their dates.
- The ratio. From the issuers’ own transfer pages (American Express, Capital One) and the trackers that list every partner (Frequent Miler, The Points Guy), read every morning. Verified when the issuer’s page states it or two of them agree; otherwise it is BoardingArea’s table and says so.
- Today’s bonus. Shown only when two trackers agree on it, with its end date, and the bloggers’ posts about it linked. Bonuses can end early; the posts say so first.
- Both ways. The award’s cash price less its taxes, divided by the partner points, and by the bank points it takes at today’s ratio. Each is set beside its program’s value and the least the program itself pays a point.
- What it doesn’t say. Whether to move your points: that’s yours, and a transfer can’t be undone.
